Seven Kids Is Not A Lot

I guess I'm overdue to change my title again.  Although 7 kids is feeling like quite a bit these days.  Of course I still don't have as many children as some of my friends and will never come close to touching the Duggars numbers.  LOL

I can't imagine life with less than my 7, though!

Six weeks!

I can't believe he's 6 weeks old already.  I was looking back at pics from the last 6 weeks--I've been taking a pic each Friday.  You can see him "wake up".  This week he's spent a lot more time awake and in the last few days he's been delighting everyone with his first smiles.

OLIVER!

We just finished another theater production.  Zak has waited for 5 years for the opportunity to audition for the part of the Artful Dodger in Oliver! and this summer was his chance.  He had 6 wonderful performances and we all loved watching him.  Re was given the part of Bet and we were all surprised to hear her lovely, maturing voice.  Katie also got a chance to perform, but as one of the orphans.

Pics from the performances:

Katie is in the peach-colored shirt . . .

These pics were taken during a dress rehearsal.  Oliver was played by an 8yo girl and she had gotten sick during rehearsal and they had her remove her wig, so she just has her hair partially pulled up in these pics.  (She is wearing her wig above.)

I love this pic of "Dodger"

2.5 weeks old!

Well, I obviously don't keep up with Xanga like I used to.  Since I last updated, God provided a new-to-us van.  Unfortunately, it was at the expense of our oldest son who had a minor fender-bender.

And on July 3, Levi Charles joined our family!  He is an extremely good baby--rarely fussy.

My New Kitchen Help

JL has etched herself a spot in the kitchen.  Any time she sniffs out (or hears) that anyone is preparing food in the kitchen, she pulls a barstool up to the counter top and insists on helping.  She loves sporting an apron, so Re has passed down her old apron to JL.

This particular day I was making Cheesy Crescent Chicken and she insisted on helping mix the bread dough.  She was taking her job very seriously but I got her to smile for the camera. LOL
